Craft Zone

1/2 Day Activity (1 Activity Point)

Tune into your creative side and come to the multi-activity space of our Craft zone: applique, beading, candle dipping, embroidery, felting…these are just some of the crafts available to try.  The craft team will guide you in the different craft activities, helping you to feel inspired and enjoy the opportunity to learn new skills in a relaxed, social environment.    

Learn the skills for crafty fundraising ideas to help towards your next scouting adventure and take away a masterpiece or two of your own making as a memento of camp, a gift for a new friend or craft an accessory for one of the evening events.

Creative Arts

The perfect activity for art lovers and those looking the expand their creative skills. Learn some new skills and explore the joys as we create modern exciting works of art. 

Cultural Zone

1/2 Day Activity (1 Activity Point)

Come and join us in The Cultural Zone where we embrace a range of activities from around the world, including some shared in previous Blair Atholl Jamborettes.  We offer a real mix of crafts, games and activities with a cultural connection from the countries represented at camp.   

If you have something from your home country that you would like to share during one of the activity sessions then let us know: we are more than happy to make time….

Tartan Tent

1/2 Day Activity (1 Activity Point)

Get creative with tartan, the fabric we wear in the field of dreams! Sip on a tin of Scotland’s famous Irn-bru while enjoying a half day craft session making a mini kilt of your own.  The perfect Scottish memento for you and your Bru! 

Wooligans

1/2 Day Activity (1 Activity Point)

Tired of cold ears? Boring hats? Forgettable camp fashion? Time to level up your Scout style and learn a skill you can use! At our base you can knit, crochet, weave and even try spinning your own wool from a real fleece! 

Make real things you’ll wear and use: 

• Beanies & headbands; Scarves & leg warmers 

• Bags & pouches; Water bottle holders 

• Or whatever your imagination invents… 

Want to stroll around camp looking like you just walked off a wilderness catwalk? You could be a Camp Fashionista wearing gear YOU made yourself. Never tried it before? Perfect! We’ll teach you from the very first stitch.   

No experience needed, just curiosity and a willingness to get a bit tangled in wool. Come along, get creative and leave camp with skills that last a lifetime.

Car Mechanics

An introduction to the basic maintenance and operations of a car, providing you with the skills and understanding you need to mangage your own future car troubles!

Content Creation Station

Love creating videos, taking photos or making content for social media? Then the Content Creation Station is the place for you. 

Capture camp life through reels, interviews, behind-the-scenes clips and creative challenges as you help showcase the spirit of Blair Atholl to the world. 

Whether you’re using professional kit or just your phone, it’s all about creativity, storytelling and having fun along the way, Who knows it could make it to the Blair Atholl Media Team!

Dungeons and Dragons

1/2 Day Activity (1 Activity Point)

Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) is a fantasy tabletop role-playing game where players have the opportunity to play as characters in an imaginary setting and create fantastic stories together. Together you will solve dilemmas, battle with monsters, explore imaginary worlds and discover hidden treasures. This is a game of creative freedom and cooperative storytelling, where the only limit to what you can do is your imagination.

Escape Room

1/2 Day Activity (1 Activity Point)

Can you solve the mystery of the missing Atholl Adventurer? 

Put your communication skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities to the test, as you investigate and uncover the truth behind this mysterious disappearance. 

Work as a team to solve puzzles, reveal hidden messages, complete challenges, and piece together the story behind the Adventurer’s disappearance. You might even discover what they were searching for along the way…  

Can your team uncover the truth before time runs out?!

KABoom!

1/2 Day Activity (1 Activity Point)

From making things super cold to making them go boom, this is the hands on, fun side of science. You’ll make rockets fly, shatter flowers like they are made of glass and find out what is meant by a “controlled explosion”. No previous science experience or knowledge necessary as we’ll do all the work and you can have all the fun. For safety reasons please do not wear open toed shoes to this activity.

Capture camp life from a different angle, frame the essence of Jamborette dreams, and snap the joy of Scouting adventures.
